Audi TT Interior Deep Clean in Rugby — Pet Hair, Mould and an Ozone Treatment

This Audi TT came to us in Rugby in a state the owner admitted wasn’t safe or pleasant to be in — let alone drive. There was pet hair through the boot and cabin, mould growing on the leather, and the carpets and footwells were dirty and stained. Pet hair everywhere

The boot was completely coated in pet hair, woven down into the carpet pile where a normal vacuum just skates over the top. We lifted it out in stages — specialist tools to agitate and gather the hair, then deep extraction — until the carpet was back to its original colour and texture.

Mould on the leather

The part that really shocked the owner was the mould. Damp plus warmth plus time lets mould take hold on leather and trim — you could see it across the headrests and seats. We cleaned it back carefully, then cleaned and conditioned the leather so it was protected rather than just wiped over.

Carpets, mats, seats and door cards

Every soft surface was shampooed and extracted, and the Alcantara, carpets and door cards were brought back to life. The dirty, grimy door cards and tired rear seats are a good example of the difference a proper deep clean makes.

Sanitised, then an ozone treatment

With everything physically clean, we sanitised every surface with professional products and finished with an ozone treatment — and this is the step that makes the difference with mould and odours.

An ozone generator fills the sealed cabin with ozone (O₃), a highly reactive form of oxygen. As it circulates it oxidises mould spores, bacteria, viruses and the compounds that cause smells, destroying them at a molecular level rather than masking them. Because it’s a gas, it reaches the places a cloth never will — deep into the vents, headlining, seat foams and air-conditioning system — which is exactly where mould and stale odours hide. Once the cycle finishes, the ozone naturally breaks back down into ordinary oxygen, leaving no spray, no residue and no perfume cover-up: just clean, neutral air.
