Why does a new car need protection work?

New cars are handled by multiple people from the factory to the dealer. Transporters, showroom visits and PDI (pre-delivery inspection) washes often leave behind swirl marks — known as "dealer marring". How quickly should I book after taking delivery?

Will the ceramic coating affect my manufacturer warranty?

No — ceramic coating application does not affect your vehicle manufacturer warranty. The coating is applied to the exterior surface only and does not modify any mechanical or structural components.

What is dealer marring?

Dealer marring refers to swirl marks and fine scratches introduced to new vehicle paintwork during the dealer PDI process, showroom cleaning and handling by multiple people. These defects are often hidden by showroom lighting but become very visible in direct sunlight.

How long does ceramic coating protection last?

Depending on the specific ceramic product used and how well it is maintained, protection typically lasts 2 to 5 years. Regular maintenance washing with pH-neutral shampoo and avoiding automated car washes will maximise the coating's lifespan.
