Looking After Private Car Collections

Prestige, luxury, classic and supercar collections kept to one consistent standard — fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. We become the appearance specialist you rely on, so the collection always looks its best. We come to you, and nothing ever leaves your garage.

Why It's Different

A Collection Is Not Just Several Cars

Vehicles that are used rarely deteriorate in ways daily drivers do not — and the standard booking-a-valet-when-it-looks-dirty approach does not fit a garage full of cars.

Cars that sit still are not cars that stay clean

Airborne dust settles on stored vehicles continuously. Dragging a cover over it, or wiping it off dry months later, is how garage-kept paintwork picks up fine scratching without ever leaving the building.

Damp garages work against you

Cool, humid storage encourages mould in carpets, on leather and across soft top fabric. It is far easier to prevent on a rotation than to remove after a winter.

Standards drift between vehicles

The car being used gets attention; the others quietly fall behind. A rotation keeps every vehicle in the collection to one consistent standard rather than one immaculate car and four that need catching up.

Moving cars is the real risk

Every trip to a workshop means a transporter or someone else behind the wheel, plus time off your premises. Mobile care removes that entirely — the vehicles never leave.

What's Covered

Everything the Collection Needs, on One Schedule

Each vehicle gets the level of work it actually needs — not a single package applied to everything.

Scheduled maintenance washing

Each vehicle seen on an agreed interval — fortnightly, monthly or quarterly — using pH-neutral, contact-safe methods. The single biggest factor in keeping collection paintwork swirl-free.

Waterless & rinseless maintenance

For lightly dusted, garage-kept vehicles that do not warrant a full wash, rinseless and waterless methods lift settled dust safely with minimal water — ideal indoors and on cars used rarely.

Exterior maintenance

Paintwork, wheels, arches, glass, exhaust tips and exterior trim kept consistently on top, so contamination never gets the chance to bond and require correcting later.

Interior maintenance

Leather cleaned and conditioned, trim and dashboards dressed, carpets and mats treated, glass cleared — particularly important in vehicles that sit unused for months at a time.

Paintwork inspections

Each visit includes an inspection under proper lighting — new chips, scuffs, etch marks, bonded contamination or areas where protection is starting to wear are flagged early, while they are still small.

Ceramic coating maintenance

Coated vehicles decontaminated and maintained correctly with coating-safe products, so hydrophobic behaviour is preserved rather than slowly buried under road film and hard-water deposits.

PPF maintenance

Vehicles with paint protection film already fitted maintained with film-safe methods — careful attention around edges and seams, and correct products to keep film clear rather than stained or dulled.

Soft top maintenance

Convertible fabric hoods cleaned, re-proofed and UV protected on a schedule, with plastic rear screens clarified — before algae, mould or lost waterproofing become a replacement job.

Vehicle condition reports

A written record per vehicle: current condition, what was carried out, what changed since the last visit and anything worth watching. Useful for your own records, and for provenance at sale.

Correction & coating recommendations

Where a vehicle would genuinely benefit from paint correction or a ceramic coating, we say so, quote it separately and explain why. Where it would not, we say that too.

On-site SMART repairs

Stone chips, bumper scuffs, scratches and minor dents repaired and colour-matched in place — with a lifetime ownership guarantee on our workmanship.

Ongoing appearance management

We hold the schedule, track each vehicle's condition over time and plan the bigger work around your usage — so the collection is managed rather than reactively booked.

Why Mobile Wins for Collections

The Cars Never Leave Your Premises

For most collection owners, the deciding factor is not the finish — it is the logistics. Every workshop visit means a transporter or a stranger driving your car, a vehicle sitting off-site, and a diary built around someone else's availability.

  • No transporter, no third-party drivers

Every vehicle stays exactly where it is kept, start to finish.

  • Self-sufficient on site

We bring our own water and professional equipment. All we need is access and a standard 13A socket.

  • One person, every visit

Josh May carries out the work personally — no rotating crew, no subcontractors on your property.

  • Discretion as standard

Nothing from a private collection is photographed or posted without the owner’s explicit permission.

  • Priority booking

Collection clients have their slots held before new enquiries are taken.

How It Works

From First Conversation to Standing Schedule

01

We talk through the collection

How many vehicles, what they are, how they are stored and how often each one is actually used. No obligation and no pressure.

02

Assessment visit

Josh sees the vehicles in place and assesses each one honestly — paint condition, interior, wheels, glass, soft tops and any chips or scuffs worth repairing.

03

A plan per vehicle

Some cars need correcting and coating once. Others just need a safe maintenance routine. You get a clear recommendation and a price for each, with no upselling on cars that do not need the work.

04

Bring the collection up to standard

Any correction, coating and SMART repair work is completed first, so the whole collection starts from the same baseline.

05

Standing rotation

We then keep it there — agreed intervals, priority slots, reminders handled by us. You open the gate; we do the rest.

Who It's For

Collections We Look After

There is no minimum collection size — two vehicles on a regular rotation already works well.

Classic collections

Older paint, delicate trim and long storage periods — handled with the caution they need, not a generic wash routine.

Supercars & modern performance

Low-mileage cars where swirl-free paint and correct product choice matter more than speed.

Weekend cars & daily drivers together

A mixed household fleet kept to one standard on one schedule, rather than five separate bookings.

Seasonal & stored vehicles

Summer cars laid up over winter, and caravans or motorhomes stored between trips — prepared going in and brought back out properly.

What Warwickshire Owners Say

Well today is my first time using Josh from Blue Horizon and I have to say I was very impressed from start to finish. He did an amazing job on my car. His punctuality was excellent — he turned up on time as agreed and gave me a 20-minute heads-up before arrival. He got straight to work and did an excellent job of a deep clean and decontamination of the bodywork before prepping the paint with clay bar and removing swirl marks before applying a ceramic resin coating. Absolutely recommended.

Booked Josh for the Flawless Finish package on my Audi S5 and the results honestly blew me away. The paint had years of swirl marks and light scratches from automatic car washes and it looked flat and tired. Josh corrected the whole car and then applied a ceramic coating — the depth and clarity in the paintwork now is incredible. He kept me updated throughout and clearly takes real pride in getting it right. Best money I've spent on the car.

FAQ

Collection Care Questions

It is a scheduled arrangement for owners who keep more than one vehicle — a classic collection, a few supercars, a mix of weekend cars and daily drivers, or a car kept alongside a caravan or motorhome. Rather than booking each vehicle separately, we agree a rotation: which vehicles are seen, how often, and what level of work each one gets. Every visit happens at your home, garage or private storage. Nothing is driven away.

Why Owners Trust Us

The Reassurance Comes Before the Result

Handing over a vehicle you care about takes a certain amount of trust. These are the things owners tell us mattered most before they booked.

One pair of hands

Every vehicle is worked on personally by Josh May. There is no rotating crew, no subcontracting and no trainee learning on your paintwork — the person who quotes the job is the person who carries it out.

Assessed before anything is touched

Paint is inspected, and where it matters, measured. Some vehicles need correcting; some genuinely do not. We would rather talk you out of work you do not need than sell it to you.

Prestige and specialist vehicles as routine

Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lamborghini, Range Rover, AMG, classics and modern performance cars are regular work for us — alongside family cars, vans and everything in between.

Fully mobile, fully self-sufficient

We arrive with our own water supply and professional equipment. Your vehicle is never driven away, never left on someone else's premises and never handed to a third party.

Deliberately limited availability

Correction and coating work is booked in small numbers because it cannot be rushed. It means dates are finite — and that every vehicle on the calendar gets the full time it needs.

Work you can check

60+ five-star Google reviews, and a lifetime ownership guarantee on the workmanship behind every SMART repair we complete.

Worth Knowing

What a Collection Actually Needs

Vehicles that are used rarely deteriorate differently to daily drivers — and the protection already on them needs looking after too.

Why a car that barely moves still needs attention

Stored vehicles deteriorate differently, not less. Airborne dust settles continuously, and a cover pulled over a dusty car is a very effective way of grinding that dust into the lacquer. Cool, humid garages encourage mould in carpets, on leather and across soft top fabric. Brake dust left on wheels bakes harder with every heat cycle. Leather and unprotected rubber dry out through disuse rather than use. A light, correct maintenance clean between outings prevents all of it far more cheaply than putting it right after a winter.

Why maintaining a ceramic coating matters

A coating is a surface, and surfaces get dirty. Road film, traffic grime and hard-water deposits gradually sit on top of the coating and mask it — the water stops beading, and owners understandably assume the coating has failed when it is usually still there underneath. Correct maintenance washing with pH-neutral products, and a periodic decontamination to strip what has bonded on top, restores the behaviour. Harsh degreasers and traffic-film removers do the opposite: they shorten a coating's working life considerably. This is the single most common reason a coating underperforms.

Why paint protection film still benefits from a ceramic coating

PPF and ceramic coating solve different problems. Film is a physical barrier — it absorbs stone chips and abrasion that a coating cannot. But film is a surface in its own right: it can stain, it holds road film, and on some finishes it can yellow with UV exposure over time. A ceramic coating applied over the film gives it the same chemical resistance and easy-release cleaning that coated paint gets, keeps it looking clearer for longer, and makes maintenance washing gentler on the film edges. The two are complementary, not alternatives.

Why routine maintenance preserves value

Condition is one of the few things about a vehicle an owner can still control. Mileage and age are fixed; paint, interior, glass and trim are not. Deterioration is nearly always gradual and nearly always avoidable — leather that was never conditioned cracks, trim that was never protected fades, wheels left with baked-on brake dust corrode, and neglected paint reaches a point where correction is the only route back. Regular, correct maintenance costs a fraction of putting those things right later, and a vehicle that has visibly been cared for consistently is a materially easier vehicle to sell.

The Arrangement

We Become the Specialist You Stop Thinking About

The point of the arrangement is that the collection stops being something you have to manage. You are not booking a valet each time a car starts looking tired, chasing availability before an event, or wondering whether the coating on one of them still works. We hold the schedule, we keep a record of each vehicle, and we tell you when something needs attention — usually before you would have noticed it yourself.

Over time that is what the role becomes: your trusted vehicle appearance specialist, quietly making sure the collection always looks the way it should — whether a car is about to be driven, shown, photographed, sold, or simply left where it is until spring.
