How does the coating handle weekly mud?

Well — mud is where a coating earns its keep. Dried mud on bare lacquer has to be agitated off and the grit scratches; on a coated car a pre-rinse and foam lift most of it before a mitt touches the paint. The car still needs washing; the washing does far less damage.

Can the package be done on a gravel drive?

Yes. Village drives are often gravel and it does not stop us. We need a socket, a reasonably level spot and room to work round the car; where the gravel is loose we lay a mat to keep grit off the pads and mitt.
